I loved Doyle. He was so messed up, but in such a human way; alcohol, debt, bad relationship skills - those are all things I see around me, and with Doyle they were given enough weight to matter, but not so much they dragged the story down. I still regret that they let him go so soon. Fortunately, he will live on in fic. :o)
Did you read the other fic from this round at maleslashminis? It only had a couple stories, but there was one pairing Doyle with Xander, one with Angel, and one with Wesley.
