Thanks for the clarification there. I agree that this is an issue that gets treated extremely casually in fics, and I was pretty light with it here. But I could so easily see Willow and Xander lying on their backs in the park, staring at cloud shapes and plotting out how Willow would have a baby (with Xander's help) and Xander would build a crib for it, and then they would argue about names and throw leaves at each other. It just works in my head as the kind of conversation they have had all their lives (only when they were seven, Willow thought that Sorsha was the perfect name for a red-headed baby girl, and now she's leaning toward Grace or Penelope). I have no doubt that Willow, at least, would take this much more seriously when push came to shove, and that there would be long discussions with Tara and soul-searching and angsting and self help books before it ever came to pass.

But since I put none of that into the fic, I get why you would be bugged. :o)
