Anyone watch Iron Chef America?

Because I've seen previews for tonight's episode of Stargate: Atlantis, and I think one of the actors playing Ronon's friends is the Chairman. I'm looking forward to another  Ronon-centric story, but I don't know if I can take that guy seriously as anything other than a poor substitute for Chairman Kaga. I guess we'll see.

Yes, I heard someone else talking about that. We don't get Iron Chef in the UK. Pity.

The Japanese Iron Chef is the best food-related hour on television. The dubbing is cheesy and Chairman Kaga is about as campy as one can possibly get (he made his fortune in musical theatre), but the participants take the competition seriously, and the food is so innovative.

Iron Chef America just isn't as much fun. It's not a bad show, but it doesn't inspire the kind of dedication among viewers that the original did. But the Chairman didn't do badly on Atlantis.
