LOL I just left a comment to that effect on someone else's journal. Of course, John won't find out about it until months afterward but one day Rodney will notice him being extra pouty... Damn, I think a plot bunny bit me
*grumble, grumble* There's a couple more drabbles from this up at my LJ but I don't know where I'm going with it. Sheppard's not cooperating *kicks at him*
I hope he starts cooperating soon. *pokes John Sheppard for you*
I love Rodney's first line, not because it's sarcastic but because he just takes it as a given that fixing whatever is wrong with John is his responsibility.
That was the first thing that popped into my head. Of course Rodney's going to see it as his mission to torture people on John's behalf - it's Twu Wuv :-)
i am such a div... i only just found out why you said john would be upset... berlinghoff has just pointed out that the picture in john's room is of him and evil kneivel... what an idiot!
John: No, it was just his name. He was a daredevil - which isn't kind of a devil. He just jumped motorcycles over things.
Ronon: Why?
John: Just because. Didn't always make it either.
Teyla: And you greatly admired this behaviour?
John: No, I just - look at least my hero is human. McKay's is Batman.
Rodney: Hmm. Misunderstood and unappreciated by many, because his most formidable weapon was the power of his brilliant mind. Not just a hero - a superhero.
yeah... apparently i have no memory! i must've got distracted thinking about rodney and batman - cause that line? is WORD FOR WORD why batman is, and always will be, my favourite superhero :o)

John poked at his cereal without looking up. "I have no idea what you're talking about."
"Have you seen yourself lately? Even your hair is depressed!"
"It's nothing. Just..." His spoon scraped against the bowl as he mindlessly chased the last mushy remains of breakfast. "Never mind."
"What, I'm just supposed to wait until you go postal?"

John: My childhood hero was Evel Knievel.
Teyla: Was he not evil?
John: No, it was just his name. He was a daredevil - which isn't kind of a devil. He just jumped motorcycles over things.
Ronon: Why?
John: Just because. Didn't always make it either.
