Geekdom on TV

I don't usually watch 30 Rock, but there was a scene on the last episode that was just perfect. Tina Fey's character compared a cute guys eyes to the Death Star's tractor beam, when it has the Millenium Falcon in its grasp. Her cute, blonde friend was like "Guys don't care about Star Trek." Tina's character yelled, "Wars! Star *Wars*!" I have had that conversation, nearly exactly, with my own cute, blonde friend (though, to be fair, my cute, blonde friend is brilliant and business-savvy, not at all like the cute blonde on the show). 

Anyway, it just made me feel validated to see a charcter with the same kinds of geekiness I have portrayed on television. Go brunette sci-fi chicks! *raises hand in Vulcan salute as a gesture of solidarity*
