You took a nice, romantic moment and turned it on a dime with the angry, homophobic dad. There was so much menace running through Spike and the father, it gave me anticipatory chills. I finally let out a sight of relief with “If you’ve ruined Star Trek for me, I’ll never forgive you.” He rubbed his free hand over his face. “I’m going to have to go home and put my Kirk and Spock action figures into compromising positions now.” Xander deftly deflated the clenched anger with just the right amount of humor.
Then you turn it romantic again. I loved this: "It wasn’t about sex, which was odd. Usually big, wild, unbridled kissing was totally about sex. And sometimes the small things like holding hands and hugging were about sex, too. But this was something else, and if Xander hadn’t had his hands full (literally) with Spike, he would have analyzed it." You're painting an emotional and intimate relationship, and having it all unfold at Disneyworld adds an absurd angle that keeps delighting me.

That last line made me laugh out loud.
