Slashy Observations

I watch an unreasonable amount of TV on DVD. When my husband and I were unpacking the DVDs, I was slightly agog at the sheer number we own. Now that I have access to them again, I've been re-watching shows that I love. Having come so late to the fanfic world, this is the first time I've watched some of them with an eye toward slash potential, and I'm having so much fun spotting it! Yay for pretty boys in potentially slashy situations!
In Buffy Season 5: Xander + Riley = Love. When they were walking down the hall to the apartment Xander wanted to check out (in The Replacement), and Buffy nixed Willow's suggestion of saying "La, la, here I am, on my way to Xander's place," and then Riley promised that he would say it. It was sweet. And then in Family, Xander and Riley were wrestling in Buffy's dorm room. It was short and silly, but it showed how comfortable they were with one another. Plus, I'm not going to turn down a chance to have those two with their arms around one another on screen.
In Entourage Season 1: Eric and Vince are so in love. Seriously, so very in love. But the thing that made me think slash probably doesn't ring the same bell for most people. Ari was bitching at Eric, and Eric offered him an Altoid. Now, I know they're perfectly innocent mints, but Altoids are inextricably entwined with the concept of blow jobs in my mind. (It's this thing - the blower holds the Altoid in his or her mouth, which creates an intense, tingly sensation for the blowee.) So I just had this image of Eric distracting Vince from his bad review with a minty fresh blow job. But maybe that's just me.
In Stargate: Atlantis Season 2: The episode Aurora was such a love letter from Rodney to John. He acknowledged his and John's reliance on one another aloud with the "take turns saving each other" line, he put himself in A) physical danger and B) in a position of defying Caldwell to make sure John was safe and had time to carry out his mission. He was so the boyfriend trying to make up for being a jerk. And John was the pissed off girlfriend determined to make him suffer a little more. I want to see the makeup sex that happened after this episode.
