It's early enough in the season that I'm actually watching shows when they air. Later, I'll miss several episodes and throw up my hands, waiting until the season comes out on DVD to catch up. But for now ...

Heroes

OMG! Is it possible to be any more married than Mohinder and Matt? Well, yes, but it would involve rings and crossing the state line into New Jersey. Which they're planning to do next weekend. (Molly will be the flower girl.) Seriously, they're not fooling around with subtext on this show. It's so out in the open, it's practically supertext. My husband (who does not view the world through slash goggles) turned to me during the episode and said, "Well, now we know why [Matt] left his wife."

Mohinder/Matt isn't a pairing I would even have considered last season, but now I am dead certain that after the camera cut away, the two of them put Molly to bed, and then Matt dragged Mohinder to their own bed, where he gave him an "I'm so glad you're okay and I'm sorry I almost shot you" blow job. (Which occur rather more often in their relationship than in most other people's) And after Matt fell asleep, Mohinder stared up at the cracks in the ceiling being thankful, thankful, thankful that the Haitian didn't make him forget this.

Mohinder and Matt are almost enough to overshadow the epic love that is Ando and Hiro, but not quite. Because even though Hiro keeps running off to the past and falling for pretty girls, Ando keeps his sword in the office where he can talk to it like it's Hiro. And even hundreds of years ago, disillusioned by his hero and dazzled by said pretty girl, Hiro hid love notes to Ando in the sword.

Chuck

My problem here is that most of the slash potential is gathered around Morgan, whom I just don't find attractive. But he has clearly been crushing hard on his buddy Chuck for a long time. His jealousy of Sarah could just be the worry that Chuck won't have time to spend with him anymore, but do straight men describe their straight friends as "not classically handsome, but charming"? I thought not.

What I would like is for Morgan to find a boyfriend of his own, and for Chuck to be sent on a mission where he has to pose as Casey's boyfriend. Casey isn't as bad ass as Jayne (I don't really think anyone anywhere is as bad ass as Jayne) but he's still armed and dangerous and played by Adam Baldwin, so I vote he gets some hot, man on man action. I think it would do Chuck good to find a healthy outlet for all the sexual tension he's building up with his brother-in-law. He would never make a move on Captain Awesome, because he loves his sister too much to steal her man, but having to deal with the constant semi-nakedness of Captain Awesome has got to be a strain. Go, Chuck. Sublimate your desires into Casey. And let me watch.

Pushing Daisies

I have no slashy observations for this show. It just rocks so hard I wanted to mention it. It's a technicolor dream of Roald Dahl, and it's brilliant. Plus, it has the guy who played Jay's brother on Wonderfalls and Kristen Chenoweth, who was Galinda in Wicked on Broadway. If they cancel this show, I may take a bomb to Hollywood. Just warning you.

So with you on the MnM phenomenon of Heroes. I too never would have previously considered them as a pairing, but it's just so obvious here...and frankly adorable. I know there are a lot of Mylar (Mohinder/Sylar) fans out there, but, sorry, ew. And the Petrellicest is beautiful. Peter needs to hurry up and get home! <3

Peter needs to hurry up and get home! Yes! But Peter needs to grow his hair back out and Nathan needs to SHAVE. The poor little Petrelli boys have undergone follicular torture since last season. It's so sad.

I kept thinking strange Freudian thoughts about Claire and West when she went all goggle-eyed when he revealed he could fly, just like Nathan. She had such a crush on Peter, only to find out he was her uncle, and now she's having weird daddy transference with West. *shakes head*

Peter *does* need to grow his hair back out, even though I know MV hated having the emo hair. Still, it was hot. As for Nathan's beard, I think it's gone if the previews of next week's show are indication, and I am glad because that was fantastically unattractive.

West already annoys me, and I can't help but root for Peter/Claire. I know it's sick and wrong, but they're just so cute together. Maybe it will turn out that Peter's not really a Petrelli and Claire and Nathan can share him. Not in a threesome, of course, because that would be really...

*claps hand over mouth*

I blame Supernatural. It went a long way in getting rid of my incest squick, and now I just can't help myself!

Ah, I thought that was just me. I wonder what the statistics are - how many of us watch most of our TV shows on DVD after the season ends rather than while they air.

I think everyone thought the same thing It's kind of inescapable. They're the sweetest family on the show; the rest are a little scary.

"Is it possible to be any more married than Mohinder and Matt?"

No. It really, really isn't. It never occured to me - I mean, I own the first season and I never even thought those two characters would be in the same room together, but it's so... yeah. Not sub-text-y at all. And Molly's cool with it, too, I bet she goes to school and is all "I have two dads, but Mohinder's in Cairo right now..." and everybody assumes THAT is why she's adopted.

It's very... strangely sweet, though. Matt being all "What's Molly going to do if something happens to you?" but he really means "And I how would I survive without you?"

And Molly's cool with it, too Yes! I bet she encourages Matt and Mohinder to spend time together, trying to get them closer, because she thinks if they are enough in love, Mohinder will stick around more. *pictures manipulative little Molly*
