Awww, it's cute! I love how strongly Rodney is affected by being able to hold hands where anyone can see; that felt right to me.
Honestly, San Francisco is frequently all unseasonably cold, so that didn't come off as weird at all. A *warm* day would've stuck out more, at least for me. I did tilt my head a little at the idea of people fishing there, but I didn't know there was a nude beach, either, so I'm assuming John and Rodney's stretch of sand is in a different part than what I've seen :)
And hee for Rodney's jellyfish paranoia and his reaction to John going to the beach first even though they live on the ocean - disbelieving but at the same time, not at all surprised.
I thought San Francisco would probably be cold this time of year, but when I looked at weather.com, it didn't seem too chilly there. But I decided to exercise writer's prerogative and make it a cold day.
I did tilt my head a little at the idea of people fishing there I was looking at pictures of Baker Beach (yay for Google Images!) and I saw a shot of people lounging by their fishing poles. I don't know if it's common or if the day that photo was taken was out of the ordinary, but I liked the image.
Thanks for readng it and commenting! sheafrotherdon has the nicest ideas for challenges, and I was happy to be able to think of sometihng for this one.
