Stop Loss Preview, Dear Lord It's Hot

I just saw the trailer for Stop Loss on TV again, and I have to ask: Does anyone else keep expecting the soldiers to grab each other and start making out? Because I really do, every time I see it. And I would be totally okay with Ryan Phillipe hooking up with the kid from Third Rock From the Sun, or with one of the other soldiers. Totally okay.

It is so hot here. So hot. My son was home sick today, so I spent a lot of time sitting around being very quiet (so as not to wake up my husband, who works nights) and pondering ways to cool down. It's just not right to need the air conditioner in March.

I had a bit of time while my son got ready for bed and my husband was napping, and I tried to log on to hang out with you. Yahoo Instant Messenger wouldn't connect at all. I'm wondering if this has anything to do with the way it crashed my computer last night.

If I'm not on tonight, that's why.

I haven't seen the commercial, but now I really want to. :) And I could totally see the kid from 3rd rock (gordon levitt or something, anyway 3 names) hook up with Ryan Phillipe (at least during the time period when I still thought Ryan Phillipe was hot. sadly, that time is waning. But both of them at their peaks, would be fabulous.

Also, for good acting from the kid from 3rd rock, watch "Brick" if you haven't already. It's a really interesting film noir. *loves it to pieces* totally teenage drama mock up of the Maltese Falcon. *loves it more*

It's all explicitly very heterosexual, with girlfriends and American apple pie. BUT there are these snippets of the soldier-guys right in each other's faces, staring intently into each other's eyes. And that spells slash to me. I probably won't even see the movie, but the trailers keep catching my eye.

I haven't seen Brick, but it sounds great. I might have to grab it next time I'm at the video store. The kid from 3rd Rock (Joseph Gordon-Levitt, maybe?) impressed me early, because most kids I see in movies simply can't act. He could when he was young, and he still can.
